it is almost 1 1/2 year since the last journal entry. all written there is still valid with me, but i notice a change in DA in the meantime.
the usage conditions for lurkers like me got harder. i have the restriction of seeing just 2 pages of the selected section/artist, whatever DA provides. I might be strange in this regard, but I was almost there to really subscribe to DA, when this change kicked in. I really hate such 'soft enforcements' marketing schemes and so they will not see me as a customer. this is just opinion and therefore not really arguable.
But what i also notice is a slow and smooth degration in quality. heck, it cant obviously be me, to complain, as someone not contributing anything. but really, as a user, am I the only one noticing, that most offered sections are flooded with much meaningless, uninspired stuff? It is really hard now to find some pearls, between all these .... colors

.
Artists I did like in the past, I do like now still, but I have the feeling, these do even publish less now. Sometimes it feels, like they've gone to some new platform. Well, if that is really the case, please point me to a direction. seriously.
The addictive part of DA has gone by now and I have the feeling, that it did not come to that by a satisfied hunger for art on my side.
Please, as I said, the first entry is still valid. I don't mean to offend s.o. Actually I doubt, that the 'wrong' people will show up here

, but for the others, I really would like to know, if you do feel the same, or if I'm out of line.
thanks for reading.

"Art is art, it is perception, vision and passion; it is the unfettered expression of our souls. And it is all beautiful, each in its own way. We should never forget that." ~ Me

'No,' I answer, 'it happened once before, the Dark Ages came and they lasted for more than five hundred years.'
